Neurodivergent inclusion for schools and youth groups

As a youth worker by training, I am committed to ensuring that young people are able to recognise what inclusion means to them, and that their teachers and youth workers are equipped with the knowledge to design neuroinclusive spaces for the young people they work with. When I grew up many systems were not designed to include me, or equipped to meet my needs as an ND young person, so through NeuroInclusion in Bloom, I want to create a learning environment for professionals and young people to explore inclusion together, so that current and future generations of young people to have a more positive experience.

My practice draws on principles of youth participation and young led decisions making, to give young people ownership of their learning, ensure they feel listened to, and to empower them to advocate for their rights, and those of others.

I am a JNC qualified youth and community work, with a Masters in Youth and Community Work from Durham University.
